...and so it all starts again. I just today bought the three new BBC books, The Resurrection Casket, The Stone Rose and The Feast of the Damned. Have to finish The Empire of Glass before I can start on any of them, though. As before, I'll keep you posted; keep that carrot dangling. |

| I'm still catching up on the 9th Doctor books, but along with The Resurrection Casket, The Stone Rose and The Feast of the Drowned, from what I have read, The Art of Destruction, The Last Museum and The Nightmare of Black Island also sound like they will be a good read! |

Funny you should ask - I finished the third one just last night.
They seem to be pitched lower, ie younger, than the six 9th Doctor books, but that may just be me remembering wrong. The Resurrection Casket in particular grates in parts, trying to appeal to the kids. It's got a decent, if slightly technobabblish, sci-fi plot, though, and the mystery bad guy we meet near the beginning is fun, if a little under-described.
The Feast of the Drowned is the best of the three, I'd say. It feels much longer than it really is, which could be a bad thing but in this case isn't. The villains are pretty original, but again could have done with a little more background and explanation.
The Stone Rose is an odd book: the plot was pretty obvious to me just by reading the blurb. I didn't get any surprises, until the plot seemed to be tied up about halfway through the book, at which point it goes hyper and fun, and also rather interesting. It's probably the tightest plot of the three books, but the story is a little weak. It'd probably make a good TV episode, better than the other two would. |

Apparently (at least to my knowledge) 'I am a Dalek' is not being sold in Australia, so I ordered my copy from the UK, through Borders bookstore, which will take 8 weeks to get here. |

| I've ordered I am a Dalek from seekBOOKS.com.au - in theory I should get it a week or two after it is released in the UK. |

that's not bad
seekBOOKS (see link above) have it listed at AU$7.16 - they charge $6.50 shipping for any order regardless of the number of books ordered which is expensive for one book but cheap if you order a whole lot in one go. |

You can buy I Am a Dalek in Australia. I got my copy at Angus and Robertson.
I read Feast of the Drowned, but I found it a bit disappointing. Not as much action as I thought there'd be.
SPOILER ALERT (don't read on if you don't want to know)
I'm sooo glad that Mickey got a bit of revenge on Rose though. It always bothered me in the series that he was such a doormat. |
