| Gotta say, that was the best sequel I've ever seen. Better than all the other movies. |

Agreed. Although I admit that I did not like the ending.
As I mentioned at Relative Dimension the movie featured Eric Roberts and Matt Rippy.
Ben McEachen in the Sydney Sunday Telegraph gave the film four and a half stars. This is what he wrote in the last paragraph:
"But how can you argue with an A-grade blockbuster that dares to unleash a villain with no rationale beyond anarchy; heroes who struggle with corruption, power and flaws; and action which blows away the competition." |

| Apart from there being no joke in the Jokers final plot (he so schemmeedd) the ending seemed perfectly Batman to me. I mean we can't have the bat becoming a hero or something. And it was great that his faith got rewarded. And the Joker's end was like the 80's movie too. That was great. |

In At The Movies, David and Margaret liked the movie and both gave it four stars with Margaret saying:
"There are other quibbles, some plot points don’t make any sense at all and I found some of the dialogue, particularly Batman’s hard to follow, but this action-filled exploration of the slippery slope of the divide between good and evil is mostly a very satisfying experience." |

| I thought it to be at least an hour too long, being that there were about four times I thought the movie over and was happy to get up and leave. Ledger was okay but I have neer been impressed by his acting ability before so it was a little difficult to compare as this was probably his best role but was it really that good. Bale, by far the best actor to take on the 'serious' role of Batman seemed considerably left out of a story that became a background to the homage of Ledger's Joker. One has to wonder as to whether the movie was edited further after Ledger's accidental death to give him more screen time and make him the subject of a rather lacklustre sequel. While I have the utmost respect for other movies the Nolan brothers have been involved in I am disappointed they have made the current incarnation of Batman incredibly dull and stiff - there wouldn't have been any difference if Keanu REeves had replaced Bale partway through. |

| I think it was better to have it that long than to have made it one of those lame two part sequels. |
