It is with sadness on finding out from Outpost Gallifrey the death of John Normington at the age of 70.

He played the villain Morgus in the season 21 story Caves of Androzani which was also Peter Davison's swansong. He returned to the series four years later in season 25, in the Sylvester McCoy story The Happiness Patrol as Trevor Sigma.

He returned to the Whoniverse last year when he appeared as old Tom Flanagan in the Torchwood episode Ghost Machine.
