It is reported that Channel 10 has purchased the rights to Torchwood - see here!

The Torchwood section does warn of spoilers in it which is why I would not placed it there if I had gotten the news first.

No problem - it really belongs in both the Torchwood section and in a non-spoiler section! That way people get the news wherever they look first.

I usually use the "View Posts Since Last Visit"; so you get to see everything regardless of where it's put. So "spoiler" and "non-spoiler" sections become rather moot points. (I wonder if that should be addressed?).

You just have to use some personal discrimination as to which ones you read so as not to spoil you own enjoyment of shows you might not have seen yet.

As it turns out the discussion on the other "Channel 10 buys Torchwood" thread has started to turn to general discussion of the show; so perhaps people who want to be surprised should continue to avoid it.

The thread in the Torchwood section has talked about actual content of the series, so it is appropriate that it is a section with a spoiler warning.

From a personal perspective, I don't think I'd ever use the 'View Posts Since Last Visit' function. Maybe I'm weird...?

And for those who can't wait for the series to show on Channel 10.

Vol.03 of Series 1 of "Torchwood" containing episodes 10 to 13 will be released on March 26th in the UK. (Vanilla as far as I know). So the whole series can be ordered from the usual online suppliers.

Be aware you may prefer to wait to see the series on Channel 10 first, or to wait for the boxed set. (If there is one).

It's been reported online that there will be a Torchwood box set, though there is no news as to whether or not it will include any special features - see here.

Of course, using Doctor Who individual releases vs. box set as an example, it would be reasonable to assume the box set will have special features...

I find the idea of Torchwood being on Channel 10 really weird. Can you imagine Jack on those anoying ads saying "There's no better place to be..."? It'll probably be given a graveyard timeslot and hardly any publicity.

I wonder if it'll (ever) get a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD release, seeing it was filmed it HD.

Got the episodes, got the declassifieds, what else is there?
