The conclusion of this story is quite satisfying, although (as noted earlier) I found it a bit lacking in depth. You won't see much in the way of layers of meaning.

The story continues with threats hanging over the characters: not always the same threat, and not all at the same time, but designed to give it pace and some satisfaction as mini-resolutions are achieved as it works towards its true climax. It may be that four egular characters is too many for this series - while each had something to do, it wasn't as though everything they did was essential for the resolution of the story.

My vote for most annoying character goes to Maria's mum (whose name I can't even bother to remember), who has a fairly minor plotline that really just filled up the episode length. I'd rather do without her!

Interestingly, and perhaps surprisingly, was the resolution of the Alzheimers situation in that, despite implying that it would be cured, it wasn't. Given this show is pitched at a young audience you'd almost expect a deus ex machina cure, but it may be simply recognising that some of the viewers will have grandparents or even parents who may suffer from this illness, having the sympathetic character of Bea who is also useful in resolving the story without any marvellous cure may help ensure sympathetic dealings in the future.

Overall, a writer who assumed kids are capable of a bit more sophisticated thinking than the writer did would have improved it for me, but the storyline didn't seem to have any substantial holes and was engaging - maybe I'm asking for too much?

(Although, I have to say, this story written by Gareth Roberts would have been a corker!)

Very Good. My little family liked it

We all have been hanging out to see the result of this 2 parter and we all thought it was great!!!! I loved all the running and action and then it was nice to see that the show didn't end with the turning back of Alan. I liked the parts with Bea. I don't think kids spend enough time with old people any more and I thought this episode showed that old people, no matter how "ga ga" they are, deserve respect and compassion and it reminds us that they were young once and are still human beings with history and soul. I liked the way Maria responded to Bea. I don't know many teenagers who would give an old person the time of day let alone treat one as nicely as Maria did in both episodes. I like this story best of all so far and I like the different themes in this one.

I thought the Chrissy scenes were funny and her speech to the statue let us all know that hopefully she won't be around very often in future because she is very annoying and I don't think she should feature in all episodes. I loved the way she burst into Sarah's house looking for the statue. And she says the funniest things. It was good.

I also thought Yasmine did some very fine acting in this ep. Not to mention Lis. I also liked watching the Nuns after the spell was broken. They were funny. And Luke's complete faith in his new mother was also touching although this time I think she bit off more than she could chew, but then it wouldn't be Sarah if she didn't.

Can't wait for the next ep. Looks like it's one for the boys to enjoy, whereas this one was probably more suited to the girls.

Finally finished the concluding episode of Eye of the Gorgon a few days ago.

Overall an adequate conclusion to the main storyline and quite a nice way that closure (sort of) was given for Mrs Bea Stanley-Nelson.

Also quite funny when Chrissie found Alan as a statue at Sarah's place but no one believed her afterwards as Alan went back to normal.
