TDWP (The Doctor Who Project) is looking for writers who'd like to pen a story for our upcoming collection of stories that will make up Season 36.
Season 36 will debut in sometime around the first half of 2009 however it'll be a slightly shorter season than the past few TDWP seasons with 5 stories, and a Christmas special following in December. (The Christmas special will also celebrate TDWP's 10th year publishing so this will indeed be a very special publication.)
Season 36 will break down as follows:
10W - Story 1 by John Gordon
10X - Story 2
10Y - Story 3
10Z - Story 4
11A - Story 5
11B - 2009 Christmas Special/TDWP 10th Anniversary Story (may introduce new companions)
The first story of the season - Story 10W - will be written by John Gordon who will be tying up the loose ends from the end of Season 35.
The following 4 stories (10X-11A) will see the Doctor travelling alone but each story will try to answer the overall theme of the season of "Why does the Doctor need companionship? Why does he always seem to have companions and primarily those from Earth?"
Following on in December 2009 will be the 2009 Christmas Special. This story will not only celebrate the Christmas season but also focus on 10 Years of TDWP as 2009 marks 10 Years of Publication for TDWP.
If you're interested in submitting an idea for the season we'd love to hear from you. However we ask that each writer submit your idea in the form of a story proposal. The proposal can be as detailed and as lengthy as you like but should give us a good idea of what your story is about, who are the main characters, how it addresses the theme for the story. Proposals should be submitted to us as a Word or Rich Text document attached to an email. Btw, feel free to submit as many story proposals as you'd like.
You will find an bio outline of our Ninth Doctor on the TDWP site by clicking here.
We are now accepting story proposal submissions right up till the deadline of March 1st. We will then review all the submissions and make our choice for those stories to be part of the Season 36 lineup by March 15. If you story proposal is accepted for publication, we will expect writers to deliver a first draft and final draft to set deadlines.
If would like to submit your story proposal(s) or would like additional information, please contact us at jigsawpublications@yahoo.ca.
Look forward to hearing from you.
