It's been report that the popular Doctor Who author has been signed to write three movies based on the classic Belgian comic, Tintin. Spielberg and Jackson are direct one film each.

I did see this. Being somewhat of a Tintin fan - though I must say, I'm more in love with the TV series than the movies (the comics are always great, though) - this seems like a good and/or bad decision. By which I mean, Steven Moffat is certainly an excellent writer, but I've never seen any evidence of him writing in a style that'd suit Tintin. Not unless they're entirely reinventing the franchise, which would sort of make sense... ala Bond, moving it away from a Cold War climate and into the 21st century. I've no real problem with that as long as they do it well. And I'm sure they will. If they do that, though, there'll be millions of Tintin fans screaming blood, but, you know, f*** them. I'm sure this'll be great either way. And there's three of them to look forward to as well...
