Today I saw David Tennant in Secret Smile on Hallmark today. Secret Smile was a two part mini-series shown on ITV in the UK on December 12-19 2005 just before his formal debut as the Doctor in The Christmas Invasion a week later.
On Hallmark, it was knitted together as a movie. Tennant plays a very devious character. Overall the execution was good in places but I was not very satisfied with its resolution.
Incidentally Secret Smile was included in the May ad for Hallmark in which the voiceover namechecked Doctor Who by saying "Doctor Who's David Tennant". |
