I had quite a few Doctor Who dreams in the two weeks I was in Japan, and unfortunately the details have faded from a lot of them. But I'll do the best I can to remember them.

395. Set in the 4th Doctor era. Leela was there, but she was apparently a later incarnation of Romana, played by Mary Tamm and containing some of Romana I's attitude. At one point she was telling the Doctor the proper way to address her, saying that he may call her "Princess Leela" (though she may have actually said "Leia"), and also saying that her surname was "Lalla". There was one scene in which there was some sexual tension between the Doctor and Romana I/Leela played by Mary Tamm (I can't remember which), and just as they kissed... the Doctor broke out of his daydream. But I think he went on to kiss Romana/Leela later in the dream.
The dream also had an alternate ending to The Armageddon Factor, in which Romana I is sent off in a rocket back to Gallifrey since her mission was complete (presumably to return as Romana II in Destiny of the Daleks).

396. I had entered some competition/pyramid scheme in which I had to sell Doctor Who DVDs. The DVDs were supposed to be Volume 4 of Series 3, but I think the only episode on them was Blink. Out of desperation, I went to an office that I think was the headquarters of Data Extract, or DWM, or something like that, and I asked the receptionist if she'd be interested in buying any. She considered it. I was also excited to be in a place that produces Doctor Who stuff, and hoped that I would work there some day.

397. I had done a drawing of a large green monster and submitted it to Data Extract, and was surprised when I received my copy and found that my drawing was on the cover! It had only been slightly edited, with part of it coloured in black. The monster was apparently appropriate because someone previously involved in Doctor Who had recently passed away.

398. I don't remember much about this one. It was a New Series finale, and at one point some aliens (possibly Judoon or Sontarans) turned up at someone's front door.

Then last night I had this dream, but I was too tired to write it all down at the time so I can only remember the beginning:

399. Rose and the 10th Doctor were escaping from some fiery place that looked a bit like Pompeii. They had almost reached the TARDIS, but Rose had given up hope. She implied that the Doctor should go on without her, saying something like, "You know what you have to do, George" (I have no idea why she called him George. I think I thought that was the name of the actor playing him, though it was still David Tennant). The Doctor left her, and I think he then woke up or something, the thought of leaving Rose behind being a nightmare for him.

I remember quite vividly a dream I had some years back, before the current series started.
I was in a dark underground cavern or passage somewhere and something that looked a bit like (but wasn't) a Yeti was chasing me.
As we ran along, I came across some sort of mining vehicle and began running clock-wise around this vehicle with the not-quite-Yeti in hot pursuit. Must admit that I was pretty scared, but I remember thinking to myself, "This is bloody ridiculous. It's just like an episode of Doctor Who!
Suddenly I was inspired. What would my hero do in this situation? The answer came in a flash - Reverse the Polarity! Wasn't entirely sure how the polarity could be reversed in a situation like this, so on a whim I started running counter clockwise, which headed me directly toward the not-quite-Yeti. Suddenly realized that I was wearing a long coat and scarf like Tom Baker's. As I ran at the not-quite-Yeti, it totally freaked out and disappeared.
Part of me seemed to realize just how bizarre this whole situation was and I found the whole thing utterly hilarious and started roaring with laughter.
Woke up laughing my guts out.
In all honesty I'd have to say that this would have to be my most favorite dream of all time.
Don't know what Freud or Jung would have to say about it though.
Stars AND magic!? I like him more and more. - 10th Doctor.
Splendid chap! All of them! - The Brig.
Dog Star. I'm bloody Sirius. - Me.

400. Nothing exciting for #400, I'm afraid. In the dream I received a couple of free copies of Big Finish magazine, with Cybermen on the front cover. This is pretty much exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago with my purchase of some Short Trips from the Big Finish website.

Forgot to OK this one with Aquaman today, so I'm just gonna post it and hope for the best:

401. I was visited by the 9th Doctor, and possibly Rose. When he saw me, the Doctor approached me, kissed me, and told me he loved me. He did this at least a couple of times.

I'm suddenly really missing the 9th Doctor...

It was tough to interpret my half-asleep writing for this one, but I've pretty much figured it out.

402. Apparently all the Doctors had gathered at a sort of convention/press conference, set after End of Time (but 10 didn't regenerate). At one point 3 was being asked lots of questions and answering them. Something was going to happen to the (indecipherable. Looks like "wth".) Also, Marc, Amanda, Daniel and possibly Betty (characters from Ugly Betty) were there, and they had some dispute with a guy on a swing. Amands was trying to write a card, but she was really bad and childish with her writing, but Daniel liked it. Towards the end I was looking at the TV guide, at a blurb for a movie on Channel 9 (possibly at midday), and realised that it was the blurb for what I'd been watching.

These didn't all happen in one night - I've just become too lazy to record them immediately after they've happened:

404. I was in a school class, with Benny Hill as my teacher. Daleks had invaded, so we had to run around the school trying to avoid them. Several times I tried going down a corridor, only to find Daleks coming from that direction and having to turn back. We ended up in the school hall (which I think was connected to the rest of the school), and saw a Dalek in there. It looked like one of the early Dalek design, i.e. this:

Image

and it was shooting at us. But I think it had some sort of curvy shape in its 'head', and I was trying to remember whether or not it was concave or convex. Someone had a glass, and we threw that into the curve. It broke, and destroyed the Dalek (or at least rendered it incapable of killing us). Then some modern Daleks came, and we got up onto the stage to avoid them. I might be remembering wrong, but I recall that our (quite effective) solution for killing these Daleks was kicking them, possibly in their eyestalks.

405. I was imprisoned by the Master, along with many other people. He looked like he did in End of Time, and even did his big jumps in the air. I recall that I had recorded something he had said on my MP3 player (either that or I wanted to record something he said), because this was apparently the key to our release. He walked past me several times, with me hiding the MP3 player and my heart beating fast. I was quite nervous.

There's one more, but I want some time to try to make sense of it before I record it. Stay tuned!

Re: Doctor Who Dreams

I've been keeping the following dreams in my head for the last few days. This has unfortunately resulted in them becoming quite fragmented, and I can't remember much of the order in which events occurred.

406. It involved the 10th Doctor, Rose, and 10.5. I knew it was 10.5, even though he was wearing pyjamas and possibly a dressing gown. Rose was wearing her Series 4 outfit. It was set at night, outdoors. There was some sort of monster out in the open - it was gigantic, cartoonish, made up of Disney characters, and it would devour anything that crossed its path. At one point Rose and the 10th Doctor ran towards each other, but had to stop for some reason. There was one shot where the 10th Doctor was topless, and looked like he was about to lean in towards Rose. I thought that would be a good shot to use in a fanvid. Everyone was lined up in 2 lines, a couple of metres apart, facing towards each other but on a bit of an angle (this probably makes no sense, sorry). There were lots of people in the lines, but the only ones I can remember are 10, 10.5 and Rose.

407. I was outside during the daytime with a friend. We were sitting on grass, and there were some houses in the distance. I thought I heard the sound of the TARDIS, and told my friend. I also thought I saw its light somewhere near the houses. Then, the sound started to grow louder, and the TARDIS started materialising right in front of us! I exclaimed, "I was right!". It fully materialised, then...
I can't remember if that storyline resolved itself or not. The next thing I remember is some sort of shrink-ray, which reminded me of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids!. I believe it was used on Aquaman, though he wasn't so small that I couldn't see him - about 15-20 cm, I recall. I held him in my hands. I think someone else may have also been shrunk.

408. I was watching the 9th Doctor on TV, and commenting and remembering how much I liked his Doctor.

409. I had been out for the day, and I went into my bedroom. A girl around my age was there (some friend/acquaintance from the world of my dream), and I'm pretty sure my brother and grandpa were there as well. I turned to my TARDIS wardrobe, and was horrified to discover that it had been re-painted. The blue bits were now the same yellow as the rest of my wall, and all the other colours had switched positions (I think the two signs were now in blue). The friend had thought that I'd want it like this. I got angry, but then my brother assured me that they'd paint it back - that night. So skip to night - it was about 10pm, and I was almost ready for bed. The team were aiming to paint while I was in bed and sleeping, or at least trying to get to sleep.

I was relieved when I woke up this morning and my wardrobe was "back to normal". Though of course, now it's outdated because of the new TARDIS design, but I won't be repainting it!

410. I may have completely stuffed up some of the details in this one, so sorry if it looks like I'm making it up as I go along. I know it definitely started with the Eleventh Doctor quite comfortably kissing a companion. I'm fairly sure that companion was Amy. Suddenly, the Doctor saw an image projected near him which showed the Tenth Doctor and Rose after just arriving on New Earth (though Rose's top was a different shade of blue). I think this made the Doctor feel guilty, and stop kissing Amy. Then I think he ran into Rose, and I'm pretty sure they kissed.

After telling Aquaman this dream, he begged me not to become an Eleven/Amy shipper. I'll try my best to stick to Doctor/Rose.

411. I was at a day event. It turned out that I was in the band Chameleon Circuit (a real-life Doctor Who band I reviewed for the latest issue of DE), and with me in the band was rundoctoritsthegatherer and two other guys, though one of them didn't do much. I was the lead singer. We were going to perform, and I was trying to think of the Chameleon Circuit songs that I definitely knew all the lyrics to. But then rundoctoritsthegatherer said that we'd be singing "I'm Not Wearing Underwear Today" (from Avenue Q). I was a bit unsure about this, but that's what we ended up doing. One of the other guys played the keyboard, though I think he was magically playing the keyboard on a laptop computer.

412. The Eleventh Doctor was with Sarah Jane, who was walking him into her living room. Apparently she and the kids from SJA were all quite comfortable with his regeneration - Sarah re-introduced the Doctor to all the kids, who politely acknowledged his presence having already met him in his previous form.
So then I'm not sure if the Doctor and everyone else was there, but I was at my grandparents' place, and I think there were some messages on TV screens which could have some effect over you if you saw them for long enough (I'm too tired to phrase this better, so I await the witty comments with anticipation). I saw one of the screens, and was starting to be affected, but I think I turned away in time. But the TVs were everywhere, so I never knew when I'd see the message again...

Re: Doctor Who Dreams

Postby montypython » Tue 25 May, 2010 11:55

I think I had a dream or two in between this and the last one, but I forgot what happened.

413. This played out like it was in a real episode. The 11th Doctor was running through a wedding shop, screaming as he did so. There was a zoom in on a bulge in a man's trousers, and the Doctor screamed. He saw all the different symbols of a wedding - dresses, cakes etc. - and he screamed. He bumped into a model head with a wig on it and screamed, then screamed because he thought his hair had come off (it was the wig). We see the man he is running from - an older man, calmly walking up to him (a bit like "Rassilon" from The End of Time). The Doctor said something like, "Please! I don't want to marry River! I hate her! I love Rose!"

At this point it was like I had been watching the whole thing on TV, because I turned to the guy watching it with me - someone from my creative writing class - and said that I couldn't believe the Doctor finally said it out loud.

Then the man made some mention of how he knew this. Suddenly, he and the Doctor were in the TARDIS, which was the white classic style. Rose was there, looking a little older and wearing a sun-dress. She lightly kissed the central column. The man said that this would be an experiment - the Doctor would live this life with Rose, and see how it turned out. The man said somethinhg about the Doctor's 8th birthday, and the Doctor said that he doesn't age that much, then the man said that he would for the purposes of the experiment. Somehow for the experiment, he was 7.

Then they were back in the room from the wedding shop, and the man said something like if the Doctor wanted to escape the experiment, he had to repeat to himself, "The Nunu". The Doctor was suddenly his 10th self. He started descending, and he repeated to himself (though I think just to memorise it), "The Nunu. The Nunu. The Nunu"...

I woke up/opening credits.

Re: Doctor Who Dreams

Postby montypython » Thu 15 Jul, 2010 23:25

I've had a few dreams lately, but the cold mornings have prevented me from reaching a finger outside of my bed to write them down. This next dream is one that I actually remember, though it happened a little while ago. The Doctor doesn't appear, but it is related...

414. The Kennedys from Neighbours were walking around a shopping centre. I believe Susan was in a wheelchair, being pushed. At one point they passed another family, who were Asian. The other family looked sad. The Kennedys arrived at what looked like a play centre for children. It was being run by some sinister-looking men. If I remember correctly, the men were demonstrating the play equipment, showing a child going down a slide, doing some twists, and then disappearing into a hole in the ground. The Kennedys asked where the child went, and the men suggested that there had never been a child, and began to manipulate the Kennedys into believing so themselves.
So, the hole in the ground is meant to be like the crack, erasing people from time like they never existed. I had this dream before the finale.

415. River Song had her hands on a strange metal machine. You lay someone onto a table and clamped them down with metal. You then activated the machine, and it would slowly zap the person. The machine would make you know intimate things about the person, and form an attraction between you and the person. River was supposed to use the machine on Captain Jack, but instead she used it on the 10th Doctor. The Doctor realised what was happening, and stopped the process from occurring. He took the machine from River. The machine could also erase people's memories, so he used it on River to stop her knowing that this ever happened. But a consequence of using the machine was that the machine made him attracted to her. So his plan did basically nothing, except stopping River from knowing certain things about him.

I had this dream a little while ago, so now I've forgotten a lot of the details. But it boiled down to this...

416. River Song met Rose. She told Rose that she (River) wasn't the Doctor's wife yet, which meant Rose could be. I believe she referred to herself/Rose as "Mrs Robinson" (don't know why, maybe I was getting confused with Neighbours)

Maybe this is something to do with my gradual acceptance of the idea that River Song could have a relationship with the Doctor. Then again, the dream I had before this one implied that she is with him under false pretenses... ah, they're just dreams.

Wow, I haven't been on this forum for ages! Anyway..

18: I was trapped in some dark place with the Old Series Daleks. The eleventh Doctor was there with Amy and they didn't see me. It was almost pitch black and way too cold.
The Doctor: Martha, believe me this means nothing. If it saves a thousand lives it means nothing

He kisses her and runs off around the corner

Martha: That was nothing?!

Now I really want to do that, only there's already one on YouTube.
